What’s included?

Three online learning opportunities, each unique from one another. Designed to be followed on from the other for the most comprehensive learning experience. Find out more about them below.

Melio Tutorials

Join Melio Tutorials, and you’ll benefit from one-on-one online tutoring from a leading academic. Get a solid grounding in the subject you love, or think you want to pursue in the future, as you learn the ‘Oxford’ way.

With personalised assignments and feedback, your learning will be fully tailored around your wants and needs, so you can make the most out of your time with us.

Each online tutoring package consists of:

• Starting from 9 hours of one-on-one online tutoring

• Across 3 topics

• Pre-tutorial reading or assignments

• Tutor feedback after each tutorial

• At least two formal work submissions

• Comprehensive feedback on your assignments

• A one-hour evaluation session with your tutor, including guidance on your next steps

When it comes to finishing your online tutoring programme, you’ll receive a certificate of completions, as well as a final report from your tutor - so you can continue to succeed.

Melio Academic Online Courses

Go further with Melio Academic Online Courses. Taught over a 2-week period, these structured online courses offer a more intensive online learning option to help you get ahead.

Combining live webinars with a small cohort of students and your knowledgeable tutor, you will also be challenged with independent work which has been designed exclusively by our team of tutors to help you extend your academic foundations.

Each distance learning course consists of:

• Digital webinar classes with tutor and classmates

• Small cohort of students - no more than 10 on each distance learning course

• 2 one-on-one tutorials with your expert tutor

• 4 hours of timetabled online learning - the rest can be consumed at your own pace

• Pre-tutorial reading/assignments

• Independent project work

• Comprehensive feedback on your work

You’ll also receive a personalised certificate upon completion, as well as a formal written report from your tutor.

Melio Guidance

Preparing for the next step in your education journey? 

For our 16-17 year-old students, they can access our unique Melio Guidance programme. Supporting you through those all-important university decisions, we’ll help to ensure you’re ready to embark on your next adventure, prepared with the tools to help you succeed. 

With Melio Guidance, you have the opportunity to curate your online learning sessions around exactly what you want to get out of them. So, whether you want top tips on how to prepare your university application or interview, or want to focus on crafting your skill-base for the future, the options are endless. 

Each course consists of:

• 10 one-on-one sessions with a tutor

• 5 core skill topics

• 5 bespoke topics

• 1 hour parent-tutor session, to discuss your future

• 1 powerful app, a intuitive tool to help you make smart university applications

Why does Melio exist?

Oxford Summer Courses has been running courses in Oxford for more than a decade, and during that time they saw something special happen when they connected an academically curious student with an expert tutor who’s passionate about their subject.

Introducing them to a subject they might not have had the chance to study at school yet, and giving them a taste of how it’s studied at a world-leading university, has a lasting effect on the aspirations and motivations of the students who study with them.

The problem is, Oxford Summer Courses can only welcome a certain number of people to Oxford, Cambridge and their other courses each year. And they firmly believe nothing should prevent you experiencing the exhilaration of tutorial teaching. 

That’s why they took the key elements of their in-person courses - a connection with a world-class tutor, exposure to new and exciting subject matter, and an introduction to university-style learning - and brought them all online.
